"Water and a Flame" è il terzo estratto da "Loved Me Back To Life", il nuovo album di CELINE DION nei negozi dallo scorso 5 novembre. La produzione è affidata ad EG WHITE, noto per avere contribuito ai successi di Adele, Joss Stone, Rebecca Ferguson, tra gli altri. Il New York Times ha apprezzato il "tocco R&B" del brano, mentre per Idolator questa traccia "porta Celine in una dimensione differente dalla solita". Registrato tra gli Abbey Road Studios di Londra e gli Echo Beach Studios in Florida, "Water and a Flame" dimostra che la Dion è capace di utilizzare un registro vocale più basso e graffiante.
